Bringing you an incredibly upbeat remix track to some french lady singing. All jokes aside though, this sounds really, really, nice. It's something you can listen to and give you that little "pick me up" for the day.
Anybody Out There (Friction & K-Tee Remix) - BCee & S.P.Y.
(edit: updated with correct video)
Alright, I might rave about how great a song is and try and convince you to click the little button that will bring the music to your ears(play), but I'm not often blown away. This song does just that, it's relatively low key, not all the heavy but seriously, it's a song that hasn't stopped playing on my iPod, I haven't skipped it once. It's just an extremely powerful "feel good" track.
Freaks and Geeks (Star Slinger Remix) - Childish Gambino
This song has just been blasting off every site that I've seen lately so it's only time that a remix came out right? "Freaks and Geeks" was pretty simple to begin with, a small background beat, and just add flow courtesy of Donald Glover.
It's pretty rare that you find a really good hip hop song that has the kind of electronic/house feel that you really want it to be. This track doesn't disappoint, it's got a pretty cool beat rocking in the background and his voice is just enough to work with the beat.
The Social Network [Official Video] - Luke Christopher
I know if you've seen the movie "The Social Network" you'll recognize the music playing in the background of this song. It's at the very beginning of the movie and just kind of fits perfectly, it's a choir version of "Creep" by Radiohead and it sounds just nice. Luke Christopher does extremely well in conveying the message of the movie and the lyrics are powerful.
Don't know how many alternative rock fans I have reading this blog but this is just so big that it needed to be posted. DCFC just released this song a day on Monday I believe and it just is so simple that you can't help but listen to it, it's classic DCFC.
Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" has been all over the radio as of late and this cover/remix is just..... wow. I'm completely blown away, it's not disgusting status it's just plain dirty, you can't get much better than this.
Roxanne (Love & Light + MartyParty Remix) - The Police
I know, I keep posting all this electronic music I need to expand but if it didn't sound so legit then I wouldn't feel the need to keep posting this type of music.Anyone who's listened to The Police definitely remembers this song, well this is an intense dubstep remix to the song.
Drowning (feat. Laura V) [Avicii's Unnamed Mix] - Armin Van Buuren
Now all you new electronic listeners probably haven't gone back to the root of where it began, just listen to dubstep and rave about that. I'm going to call you out just so you're a little more aware of other genres aside from dubstep. Trance is how I got introduced into electronic music, way back in 6th grade man Tiesto was the shitttttt. Tiesto, Lemon Jelly, Moby, Chemical Brothers just to name a few that was a few mainstream I listened to. AVB is incredibly sick too, has less of the vocals normally and pure trance music, this is amazing.
Due to copyright claims filed against my blog posting "Rinzler (Kaskade Remix)" the post has been taken down. Feel free to find the song on other sites, or ask fellow readers of the blog that may have downloaded it already.
Another mashup that's been around for a minute as well BUT I just got around to listening to it, and I'll give you the advice to listening to this album. Don't listen to it track by track, put the first song on, take off shuffle and just let it play through the entire album. It's a lot better this way, then you can pick out which songs you like.
I do like this version of the song, not as much as the original but it's extremely close. The high pitched tones of the xylophone kind of keeps an upbeat feel throughout the whole song, while the organ just provides the bass.
Who out there loves reggae? I do, and of course when it's mixed with electronic vibes, sick guitar, well that's just speaking my language. Put this song on if you're just settling down and trying to relax.
Ok come on.... who doesn't love a kid running around and dancing in the most random places, including a women's bathtub. I love this video, I think that the director is just amazing, and the video flows perfectly with the track. Song also shows that you know people are just dying to get up and bust a move while rocking to their headphones, yeah this video displays that perfectly.
Bringing you a new artist today that I hadn't heard from before but apparently he's been around for a hot minute. This track definitely reminds me of some "party hip-hop", it's something to throw on during your T-shirt time.
I do like The Script, probably not as much as a lot of you out there, but they are a decent band. 8barz cranks out this remix though and it is extremely good, not too overpowering and keeping the original feel of the song.
Great song, with a great message for the world right now. Heist is giving away the song for free, but if you like the song enough to donate money towards Japan feel free to donate to the Red Cross here http://www.justgiving.com/ukfdubstepheistPFJ.
I personally haven't heard of this guy aside from the part he played on Chris Webby's "Bulletproof" but this guy goes hard. He raps over Chris Webby's newest beat "Killin 'Em" and Joell does the track justice.... even if he's reading off of a phone.
Jump, jump, jump, jump, that's all this song makes me think of when the beat gets dropped. I can totally imagine this song blasting in the club and people going crazy. Calvin Harris has been around for a hot minute, making his most notable song "Flashback". This song is short, but oh so sick.
Alright, alright, alright, enough is enough, because this mixtape is so amazing, I'm going to post their mixtape so that you can download them, and I can stop talking about how they just destroyed this mixtape.
It's The Dean's List - The Drive In(Mixtape) - Download
This song starts off slow, but it builds up to something that's really attractive. Seriously let it play and just rock out to it when the beat drops. Get that BANGER HOUSE pumpin out your speakers, rock rock rock.
I really, really like this song. It's incredibly upbeat and Pusha T just kind of destroys the beat to be honest plus great lyrics. "Cooler than a peppermint, Wayne's World excellent, party on ya'll SCHWING"
I can't express how excited I am for Wiz's newest album to drop March 29th, the album "Rolling Papers" is no doubt going to be sick. This is a single off of his album(?), regardless, it has that laid back feel that most of us love about his songs. Keep this track on replay.
Rolling in the Deep (Jamie xx Remix) ft. Childish Gambino - Adele
While I can't really say that I'm pleased with the downplaying of Adele's high vocals, I feel like Jamie XX brings this track together. It features the newest hip hop artist that's been brought into the spotlight, Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino, if you haven't listened to Freak and Geeks by him listen to that first. Overall Jamie XX does a very good job in bringing two very different artists together.
Knights of Cydonia (Nostalgia Dubstep Remix) - Muse
I know everyone here is a giant Muse fan....... right? Well in any case I know that everyone who's visiting here is a massive dubstep fan at least, so what's better than mixing up a kick ass mainstream song into a filthy dubstep remix. This version of the song is just dirty, there's no other way to describe it.
Most of you old school dubsteppers have to have heard of Doctor P, his beats are just merciless when it comes to surrounding your ear drums with sweet music. This track Sweet Shop does just that, it invades your ears with sweet sounds.
Track is nasty, nasty, nasty. It's got those vocals that are almost necessary in some dubstep tracks and very large drops. I have to quote whatever source posted this "Has daddy issues – starts out innocent and sweet, but ends up a real dirty wh*re..”. Disgusting.
Who didn't hear this song when it originally came out? It was all over the air waves and then actually sampled in Chiddy Bang's "Opposite of Adults". This remix is truly amazing, it keeps the original song without distorting it too much while giving a dubstep feel.
Always been a fan of Chiddy Bang from the very start and this track doesn't disappoint. Video has great visuals, interesting story and has just shown us that Chiddy doesn't plan on stopping anytime soon.
